PLAYER HEALTH AND SAFETY UPDATE

KIYL Community -

Consistent with the message on school closings from the Governor's office this morning, KIYL will continue to refrain from any youth player activities - practices, games, any official gatherings - through APR 24th. Coaches should be in contact soon about official cancellation of team events. We expect to hear from our Parks and Recreation league organizers soon as they receive direction from their State and County offices, but no official cancellation of spring recreational sports has been decided at this time. As we hear more information we will communicate it to you.

The KIYL Board will soon meet to discussion the options and possibilities for the remainder of the Spring 2020 season. We hope to have additional data from our leagues on their projections soon and will factor that in. As this is quite an unprecedented situation, we will evaluate all options for the best solution that works for our players and our program. Please bear with us as we attempt to figure this out.

Any questions, please reach out at kireclax@gmail.com and we will respond as we are able. Use this time practice the basics of throwing/catching/cradling and the timeless "Hey Mom/Dad - wanna to play catch?" as you are socially distanced from your teammates, and stay safe out there.
